Our lives now / Nossas vidas agora

I know it has been a while since my last post, but I am determined to follow up more often.
It is true when people say that your life will never be the same after you have a child. It is true not because we are busier than ever, but it is true because our lives are full and complete. Juliana brings so much joy that no matter how annoyed, irritated I am when I get home, just seeing that smile melts me away. It is priceless.
She is very active and curious. She gets into everything to investigate its shape, color and noise. She loves music and as soon as she hears a tune, that little body starts to shake and wiggle.
She blows and gives kisses and of course her dad and I take advantage of that.
She is also very talkative and even though most of it is still baby talk, she is vocalizing some words in English and Portuguese. At home, I try to speak Portuguese and dad speaks English and reinforces Portuguese as much as he can. We want her to hear more Portuguese so she can be familiar with the language. English is spoken every where around her.
She also loves the outdoors, playing in the garden, running after squirrels, birds, ducks and going to the beach. I really wanted her to be at least slightly afraid of the ocean, but my wish was not granted. She runs towards the waves and laughs when it hits her legs.
I will try within the next few posts to share some of our little adventures from last few months.
