Last night, Jimmy and I started talking about the change that is about to happen in our lives. We were sitting watching TV and it was late, we were tired, but then we had this uplifting feeling of joy. Someone very soon is joining us to make our lives whole. There will be cuddling, giggles, laughter, cries, tantrums, bath time, bubbles, bed time stories and so much more that I can’t even put into words. We often hear from other parents “Your lives will never been the same”. All we have to say is "That is ok, we really want that change". It will be an amazing change that will complete us; that will give more purpose to our lives. This change is called family. We want that more than anything.
A noite passada, eu e o Jimmy começamos a falar sobre a mudança que vai acontecer em nossas vidas. Nós estávamos assistando TV, era tarde e estávamos cansados, mas daí tivemos este sentimento de alegria. Alguém muito em breve vai se juntar a nós e nos completerá. Haverá chamegos, risadas, choros, birras, hora do banho, bolhinhas de sabão, estórias pra dormir e muito mais que nem sei por em palavras.
Ouvimos frequentemente de outros pais “A sua vida nunca será a mesma”. E tudo o que temos a dizer é “Tudo bem, nós realmente queremos esta mudança”. Será uma mudança maravilhosa que nos completará, que dará mais sentido em nossas vidas. Esta mudança é chamada família. E nós queremos isto mais do que tudo.
