Adoption Day/ Dia da Adoção

Juliana ou Tong Tong (como ela está acostumada a ser chamada) se adaptou rápido com a gente. Quando encontramos com ela ontem, ela estava dormindo, mas quando acordou não chorou e logo estava rindo. Ela se alimentou bem e dormiu das 20:30 hrs até as 5:30 da manhã. Acho que ao todo só chorou uns 5 minutos quando tiramos ela do banho e antes de dormir.Ela adora congee (cereal de arroz), banana, laranja e macarrão. Também gostou dos biscoitos que trouxemos pra ela. Ela é muito saudável, sorri e fala o tempo todo. Ela responde olhando pra você quando chamamos Tong Tong. Descobrimos que ela estava morando com uma famïlia desde setembro e que haviam duas crianças na casa. Ela não estranhou ninguém até agora.
Hoje finalizamos a adoção e agora somos oficialmente os pais dela. Estamos tão felizes. Também conhecemos a vice diretora do orfanato que chorou quando se despediu dela. Deu pra perceber o quanto foi bem tratada e o quanto gostavam dela. Isto foi muito bom pra nós.
Hoje vamos descansar no hotel pois a manhã foi agitada.Amanhã vamos passear em um parque local.

Juliana or Tong Tong (how she is used to be called) adjusted really quickly to us. When we met her yesterday she was asleep and when she woke up she did not cry and soon was smiling. She ate and slept well yesterday. She slept from 8:30 pm until 5:30 am. She has only cried about 5 minutes total when we got her out of the bathtub and right before going to bed last night. She loves to eat congee (rice cereal), banana, orange and noodles. She also liked the Gerber biscuits we brought for her. She is healthy, giggles, smiles and talks all the time. She responds when called Tong Tong. We found out she has been living with a foster family since September and that there were two other children in the house. She feels comfortable around anyone.
Today we finalized the adoption paperwork. We are now officially her parents. We are so happy. We also met that orphanage vice director who cried when said good bye to Juliana. We could feel how much they cared for her and how well she was treated. This was really good to know.

We are staying in the hotel this afternoon and tomorrow we go to a local park.
